Transportation Logistics Whitepaper in the Works

NEOTEC is in the process of commissioning an independently researched whitepaper on transportation logistics in Northeast Ohio.  The purpose of the research is to answer the question:  "Does Northeast Ohio have a competitive advantage in transportation logistics?" The project is being researched by the Department of Management, Marketing and Logistics at John Carroll University in Cleveland.

"We know that Northeast Ohio has much to offer companies from a logistical perspective," said Ron DeBarr, NEOTEC president and CEO.  "We have a world-class transportation infrastructure with multimodal capabilities, and a strategic location, which means that products can be shipped efficiently out of Northeast Ohio to domestic and global markets.  What this whitepaper will do is to qualify these advantages.  We're confident that the results of the research will provide a clear-cut view of how logistics plays a major role in the success of businesses in our region."

The whitepaper is scheduled to be completed by the 4th quarter of 2009.
