Recognizing the importance of promoting economic growth through exports, NEOTEC received approval in 2004 for continuing grants from the U.S. Small Business Administration and Ohio Department of Development to establish a regional International Trade Assistance Center (ITAC).

ITAC’s services are available to any company that is new to export or wants to expand export activity. They include:

• Global logistics issues
• Documentation requirements
• Basic market research
• International business plan assistance
• International business development
• Educational seminars

To continue to meet the export needs of area companies, NEOTEC secured additional grants and funding to add International Trade Advisors to the ITAC staff and to expand the ITAC service area to include most of Northeast Ohio.
