The newly formed Executive Committee will help direct the efforts of Team Ohio, comprised of approximately 40 public and private sector organizations throughout the state, as it works to promote Ohio through targeted marketing programs.
“This is a unique and exciting opportunity for Ohio and I’m pleased to serve in this capacity,” said DeBarr. “Team Ohio is mobilizing a diverse group of local and regional economic development professionals, tapping their expertise and resources in a cohesive effort to brand and market the State of Ohio.” DeBarr said this statewide effort will enhance Ohio’s ability to compete on a global scale.

NEOTEC is a private, nonprofit organization providing economic development services on behalf of its member counties, including Ashtabula, Columbiana, Mahoning, Medina, Portage, Stark, Summit, Trumbull and Wayne. NEOTEC administers three organizations to implement economic development strategies for the Northeast Ohio region: Foreign-Trade Zone 181 to promote international commerce, the International Trade Assistance Center (ITAC) to provide export counseling assistance to area businesses, and the Northeast Ohio Logistics Network to help improve regional market access.
