AirTran Airways Announces Service Enhancements for Akron-Canton
New and Additional Service Begins March 4, 2003

ORLANDO, Fla. (November 6, 2002) – AirTran Airways, a subsidiary of AirTran Holdings, Inc. (NYSE: AAI), today announced, that effective March 4, 2003, the low-fare airline will add two daily nonstop flights between Akron-Canton Regional Airport (CAK) and New York’s LaGuardia Airport (LGA). Tickets are now available for purchase.  AirTran Airways currently offers nonstop service from Akron-Canton to Atlanta and Orlando.

“AirTran Airways is pleased to offer the only low-fare fare service to New York City in all of Northeast Ohio,” said Kevin Healy, AirTran Airways’ vice president of planning and sales.  “Service to Atlanta and Orlando has been very well received in the Akron-Canton market.  Offering additional nonstop service to New York City will give these residents more options in travel to one of the country’s most popular travel destinations.”

Lowest leisure fare requires a fourteen-day advance purchase. Seats are limited, subject to availability and may not be available on all flights. New nonstop daily service begins March 4, 2003.
