NEOTEC's President & CEO tapped for logistics advisor on international committee

KENT, OHIO…The President & CEO of the Northeast Ohio Trade and Economic Consortium (NEOTEC), Ronald DeBarr, has been appointed to a two-year term on the Roundtable Advisory Committee of the Council of Logistics Management (CLM) - an international organization. DeBarr will serve as advisor to seven CLM Roundtables in Ohio, Pennsylvania, Indiana and Kentucky - including the Cleveland Roundtable where he is the immediate past President.

"I consider this a great honor as well as an opportunity to expand Northeast Ohio's circle of contacts and influence," DeBarr said. "Also since NEOTEC is responsible for Foreign-Trade Zone #181, I am pleased that I will be serving with logistics professionals from around the world on the Advisory Committee."

"This appointment should help us in NEOTEC in formulating our strategies to improve logistics in Northeast Ohio," DeBarr said. "In logistics we're talking about the movement, storage and delivery of goods by all the modes of transportation."

Shortly before his appointment, DeBarr made a presentation in Chicago to an international meeting of Roundtable presidents.

The CLM has a worldwide membership of 15,000 logistics professionals. Each Roundtable provides a forum for the exchange of ideas among logistics professionals in a particular geographic area.
